The International Organisation of
Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT) encourages
Organisations and individuals whose work supports live performance to
join together with their colleagues from around the world in support of
OISTAT’s mission, goals, and objectives. During the past
forty years, OISTAT’s role has been to provide a vital forum for
international collaboration and the exchange of ideas. OISTAT’s
work has met with outstanding success. The OISTAT of the
21st century is a revitalised and more inclusive organisation whose
goals are the same, but whose membership is now broader.
To provide more opportunities for discussion and collaboration, OISTAT
has opened its doors to two other groups to take part in OITAT
activities. Individuals who work in countries not served by a
Centre may join as Individual Members. Additionally, educational
institutions which provide education and professional training and
commercial organisations which support live performance by providing
equipment, services, and/or consultation may now become Associate
Members of OISTAT.
There are three OISTAT membership categories:
In order to more completely fulfil OISTAT’s mission, “the exchange
of ideas and innovation, and to promote international collaboration”,
it is important to include those educational institutions and
commercial organisations that provide professional education and
training, equipment, professional services, and consultation with those
architects, artists, and technicians who work in support of live
performance. Associate Membership Criteria and Benefits
