Dear members of the TC.
First I would like to take a chance to thank you for the trust you put in me by electing me the new chair of the Technology commission.
I hope in the future we will see and hear a lot of each other as we work together on projects that will ad quality and value to our commission, and make it a lively part of OISTAT.
As you all know, Olle Söderberg presented his business plan for setting up a CEN Workshop on "Lifting equipment for stages within the entertainment industry" (LESEI) on our last meeting in Taipei.
In my opinion this is an opportunity to impose as end-users our wishes on the constructing industry, not only for the European countries, but also for countries that are about to set up safe working standards for themselves.
For those that are not familiar with the matter, I included the business plan, Olle set up.
I would appreciate it if you would read it and share your thoughts about it with the commission members.
As a matter of fact, next Wednesday, 30 November, there will be a discussion about these plans on the JTSE fair in Paris.
Those of you that are visiting the fair, I would like to encourage to participate in this discussion.
As it is an internationally important fair, I hope to meet some of the TC members there.
I made arrangements we can meet and have a drink at the ADB booth at 14u00.
We can see it as our first “unofficial meeting”
I hope we can change our thoughts about this project and the way it relates to the Technology Commission.
For those of you who can not be present, I will send an overview of what is discussed.
I hope in the near future, we can work together on this and other projects.
