Dear Friends and Colleagues of David Taylor，
Many of you may already have heard the tragic news that David I. Taylor passed away over the weekend of January 17.
The detailed statement, issued on Tuesday 18 January is as follows:
“It is with the greatest sadness to announce the passing away of Mr. David I. Taylor. David’s untimely death occurred during a business visit to Taipei.
David was a major and much-loved international name in the theatre business, as an exceptional forward thinker and designer for the performing arts, theatre planner, technical systems consultant, and active stage lighting designer.
David will be irreplaceable to the theatre design industry, but most to his family, to whom we extend our deepest sympathy.
A blog has been set up (http://rememberingdavidtaylor.wordpress.com) for thoughts and condolences, posting photos and sharing remembrances of David. The blog will be shared with David’s family.”
