Helmut was one of the founders of OISTT / OISTAT and he had made a great effort in his life working for the international community of theatre makers under the umbrella of OISTAT.
Helmut served as OISTAT President for a long period of time. With his life experience and diplomatic skills, he solved delicate problems for OISTAT in the world which was quite different from now.
He was a great mentor for the next generation of OISTAT leaders. I am very thankful for his friendship and support when I was running for OISTAT Presidency in 1997 and 2001.
I believe the new leadership of OISTAT will always respect and keep in mind the fundamental value of OISTAT resides in the spirit of its founders when they develop the organization in this changing world.
